Cheryl Hines

Cheryl Ruth Hines grew up in the vicinity of Tallahassee within Florida. Her birthplace was in Miami Beach on September 21, 1964 to Rosemary (Graham), and James Hines. She studied at West Virginia University, Florida State University as well as at the University of Central Florida. She completed her studies in theater and television production. However, it wasn't until she relocated from Los Angeles and studied at the Groundlings Theater that she felt that she really had learned anything in the field of comedy. Her teacher at first was Lisa Kudrow. She taught her how to play improvise and make comedy sketches. This helped her prepare for her role as Larry David's wife on the HBO show Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000). The actress is at ease since the dialogue in this situation comedy is all improvised.
